I run workshops every few months on pre- and post-natal fitness both for women wanting to look after their bodies during and after pregnancy, and trainers wanting to learn how to train women safely and effectively during pregnancy.

My workshops are generally 2-3 hours long and aimed at women wanting to understand what happens to their bodies during and after pregnancy and birth, how to go about fixing issues like diastasis recti and incontinence.  

Topics covered:

  • Anatomy of the core and pelvic floor

  • Physiological changes during pregnancy

  • The anatomy of diastasis recti and pelvic floor problems

  • Proper breathing mechanics and how it affects your core

  • Correct alignment and how it affects your core and body

  • Exercises you should avoid

  • Alternative, functional core exercises

  • Correct movement patterns and mobility

  • How to safely and effectively utilize strength training during and after your pregnancy

  • WHY you should prioritize strength training over other forms of training

  • Guidelines for cardio during and after pregnancy (including impact activities like running)

  • How to utilize high intensity interval training or conditioning after pregnancy to improve fitness and feel amazing with less time per week

  • HOW MUCH you should be training and the importance of the "Minimal Effective Dose"
